How many of you have thought about trying something new for ages and then finally taken the plunge and discovered a massive passion lurking inside you?!!

b2ap3_thumbnail_the-band_20130920-110509_1.jpgLife is often so busy that we put our dreams on the back burner and allow the minutiae of day to day living and working to take up all our spare energy and time while the years tick on so quickly...

Well, my husband has always loved and played music for his own pleasure, mainly Celtic flavour stuff, and is always happy to enliven any gathering with a tune or two. He has long dreamed of making music with others though and just over a  year ago, a chance meeting led to the formation of his band - Head North. With ages ranging from 19 to 63, they are an eclectic bunch but have discovered the deep joy and fun of making music together which has taken his passion to another dimension - they have had SUCH fun!.

After working hard for just over a year, they were incredibly excited to be booked to play at the well known Larmer Tree Festival  on the Dorset/Wilts border, playing alongside the likes of Van Morrison and KT Tunstall on the big stage! Scary but what a buzz!

b2ap3_thumbnail_larmer-tree.jpgTheir two gigs went off fantastically well and were brilliantly received by the audience - the band left on a major high and can’t wait for their next booking which is to play at the ultra-chic Lime Wood Hotel in the New Forest on Sunday 15th September as part of the hotel’s Smoked and Uncut series of concerts. Hope to see you there!

Which brings me to the point that it is never too late to follow your dream and, so, if you’ve been putting off fulfilling your ambitions for too long, follow Roddy’s example and go for it! Then come to The Collage Company and we will create a fabulous photo collage of your special moments or memories which you can have  up at home or work to continue dreaming even when the boring bits of life have taken back over!

See below - a great photo momento we created for a happening happening local band, Chalk Flowers

Emmy Watt set up ‘The Collage Company’ in 2010 after finding a gap in the digital photographic market. Instead of creating photo books, which end up on the shelf along with long-forgotten photo albums, they wanted to find a way of getting all your favourite photos out on show and still produce a quality product. Taking their marketing and design experience they have taken the traditional collage idea into the 21st century...
