Collage About Us

Your memories are precious to us…

Jess Bassett and Emmy Watt set up ‘The Collage Company’ in 2010 after finding a gap in the digital photographic market. Instead of creating photo books, which end up on the shelf along with long-forgotten photo albums, they wanted to find a way of getting all your favourite photos out on show and yet still produce a quality product. Taking their marketing and design experience they have taken the traditional collage idea into the 21st century...

These are quality framed photo montages, turning home photographs into personalised pieces of art, mounted, framed and delivered to your door. Unique presents for all kinds of occasions. In 2010 Jess and Emmy took their first collages out to local fairs. People loved the visual impact of the idea and what was more appealing was the fact that they didn’t have to do it themselves!

One of the first collages Jess created was a black and white montage with 32 pictures that had once sat in a battered shoe box passed down from her late Grandmother to her Mother. The faces in the sepia photos would be meaningless to the next generation but by creating a photographic family memory bank out of the old photos, the story of the previous three generations is brought back to life, with a who’s who map on the reverse so that names and faces wouldn’t be forgotten for the future.

‘I loved the Collage. It captures the story of my family beautifully which had up till then been stored away & forgotten in a box. So skilfully done - I love it - thank you.’ Carolyn Whitehead

Since then they have created collages to celebrate Weddings, Christenings, Anniversaries, all the big milestone Birthdays, fantastic holidays, sporting achievements and retirement presents, house conversions...the list goes on... and for one happy client a 4 ft x 3 ft image incorporating a decade of her children’s lives. The Collages have universal appeal, with modern charm and can be created in a style to suit anyone’s home; quite literally they are “a memory shared” and bring pleasure for years to come.
